  • Overview

    This position provides general support as well as assistance on project based-assignments for the purchasing department

    Responsibilities

    • Documentation organization for purchasing functions: new vendor set up, requisition creation, requisition routing, purchase order submission & tracking, invoice reconciliation and approval; contracts, confidentiality agreements, API and related project information tracking, etc.
    • API availability database responsibility
    • Supplier management, materials and services commercial terms negotiations, along with shipping arrangement and cost control
    • Meeting minutes control for supplier meetings and internal supply chain function meetings
    • Provide update for tracking spreadsheet for project specific orders, capturing details of the Procure to Pay process for all orders
    • Internal/external meeting coordination and visitor management
    • Creates export documentation, coordinates shipments with internal and external customers for our WWI international shipments out of Memphis, TN distribution center. Maintains tracker sheet to identify shipments and their status
    • Assists with follow up and tracking of international goods shipments for import and export out of Bedford, OH

     

    Qualifications

    Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred) - strong word processing (MS Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) skills, excellent written and communication skills;

    Strong organizational skills, ability to handle many tasks at once and ability to prioritize tasks;

    Maturity to deal tactfully and professionally with all levels of employees;

    A strong commitment to customer service.

    Obtaining or recently acquired bachelor’s degree in supply chain or closely related field.
